My first quilt block

Bless it's little heart, it has issues. I am going to remake it.. as it's a bit crooked and I pressed the seams open instead of to one side, which seems to be a key piecing rule.
Oh well, it's an adventure!

  1. Hi Paula :) Oh my! This is gorgeous! Beautiful piece of art, besides a lovely quilt design. I've only made one quilt in my life, and that was for the experience, back home in Michigan, in the winter!

  4. I looks lovely to me. I've never had the patience for piecing. The few quilts I've made have had REALLY BIG pieces and been tied. ;)

  7. It looks great to me! It funny, but I can make a wedding gown, but quilting completely befuddles me! I say YAY to you for giving it a try! I can't wait to see the finished quilt!

  8. Hi I am back on line again - Westy redid my layouts so both of my journals are some semblance of the old JS layouts. Not quite but almost. I have missed reading your creative writing and wit. ;-) and the lady of the lake who is now missing again.

  9. Well I am certainly impressed. I have been planning to try my hand at quilting for some time but never seem to get around to it.
